BillBaaz Restaurant POS & Management System

Rasoi se counter tak โ€” sab kuch ek click mein.

BillBaaz runs on your own computers at the restaurant. Bills print, kitchen tickets fire and stock deducts even when the internet is down โ€” while your waiters take orders on their own phones and you check sales, profit and stock from a browser. And because every sale, expense, purchase and salary posts into a real accounting system by itself, your Profit & Loss is ready the moment you ask for it.

What it is

A complete restaurant system that never asks for the internet

BillBaaz is a billing and management system for Pakistani restaurants, cafรฉs and fast-food outlets. Unlike a simple billing program, it tracks the two things that quietly eat restaurant profit: recipe-level ingredient consumption, and every discount, void and free bill your staff gives out. It is built for dine-in restaurants, fast-food and takeaway outlets, cafรฉs, pizza and burger shops, BBQ and karahi restaurants, home-delivery kitchens, and any multi-counter food business.

The three leaks

Where the money actually goes

๐Ÿš

Your POS counts plates, not ingredients

It says you sold 40 biryanis. It cannot tell you how much rice, chicken and oil actually left your store โ€” so nobody in the building knows the real food cost.

๐Ÿค

"Sir, thora discount de diya tha"

A discount here, a void there, a free plate for a friend. Without a per-user limit and a permanent log, none of it is provable โ€” and it adds up faster than theft ever does.

๐Ÿงฎ

Your accountant re-types everything

Sales figures get copied into a separate ledger by hand, weeks late. You find out last month's profit somewhere in the middle of this month.

BillBaaz or MyPOS?

We make two restaurant systems. Here's how to pick.

The question isn't how big your restaurant is. It's whether you want to be on the internet at all. Both are complete products โ€” neither is a cut-down version of the other.

Choose BillBaaz ifโ€ฆ

You run one outlet โ€” with as many counters as you like โ€” you do not want your restaurant on the internet, and you care about your books closing themselves, your payroll being handled, and knowing exactly who gave away what.

You are already here. See what's inside BillBaaz

Choose MyPOS ifโ€ฆ

You want to sell online with your own QR menu and no aggregator commission, you run or plan to run several branches, you need a central warehouse feeding outlets, or you want a cloud dashboard you can open from anywhere.

Core modules

What's inside BillBaaz

Every feature listed here exists in the product today and is covered by automated tests. Anything still being built is listed honestly at the bottom of this page.

๐Ÿงพ

Billing & Order Taking

The counter screen your cashier will live on

  • Touch billing screenA large-button split-screen counter โ€” menu on one side, live bill on the other โ€” so a cashier rings up an order in seconds without hunting for anything.
  • Dine-in with table managementPick a table, ring the order against it, and see at a glance which tables are free, occupied, running or already billed.
  • Takeaway billingFast walk-in billing with no table needed, plus held orders you can recall when the customer comes back to the counter.
  • Home delivery billingCaptures customer name, phone and address, assigns a rider, and prints the rider's name on the slip so the customer knows who's coming.
  • Visual floor planArrange your real dining room on screen โ€” tables placed where they actually sit, colour-coded live, so staff read the floor the way they see it.
  • Held / pending ordersAny order not yet paid stays recallable at every counter, so nothing gets lost between the floor and the till.
  • Provisional bill (estimate slip)Print a clearly marked "not a tax invoice" slip when a customer wants to see the bill before ordering more โ€” it never touches your invoice numbering, tax records or stock.
  • Split paymentsOne bill can be settled part cash, part bank or wallet, in any combination the customer needs.
  • Credit salesCorporate and regular customers eat now and pay later โ€” the bill goes to their account and running balance, not to your cash drawer.
  • Order Taker app for waitersWaiters punch orders from any phone or tablet browser on the restaurant's WiFi โ€” nothing to install, nothing to buy โ€” and the kitchen ticket prints instantly.
๐Ÿณ

Kitchen & Printing

Tickets that reach the right station, in the right language

  • Automatic kitchen tickets (KOT)The moment an order is placed, the right ticket prints at the right station โ€” no shouting, no handwritten chits, no forgotten orders.
  • Item-wise and category-wise printer routingSteaks to the grill printer, drinks to the bar, starters to the cold kitchen โ€” automatically, from one setup done once.
  • Add-on tickets for running ordersWhen a table orders more, the kitchen gets a ticket clearly marked as an addition showing only the new items โ€” so nothing is cooked twice.
  • Quantity-increase ticketsChange 1 burger to 2 and the kitchen sees "+1", not "2" โ€” you never pay for a duplicate.
  • Void tickets to the kitchenCancel an item after it's gone to the kitchen and a "VOID โ€” STOP/DISCARD" ticket prints at the same station, so nothing keeps cooking on a cancelled order.
  • Deal printing optionsChoose how a combo prints: each item to its own station, everything on one combined slip, or separate slips each tagged with the deal name.
  • Reprint with watermarkLost ticket? Reprint it, clearly marked as a reprint so the kitchen doesn't prepare it twice.
  • Urdu on printed ticketsItem names print correctly in Urdu on ordinary thermal printers โ€” solved properly, not left to the printer to fail at.
  • Logo on receiptsUpload your logo once and it prints at the top of customer bills, correctly sized for your paper.
  • Print queue with retryIf a printer is offline or out of paper the sale still completes, the cashier is warned, and the failed ticket sits in a queue with a Retry button.
๐Ÿ“‹

Menu, Modifiers & Deals

Real combos with customer choice โ€” set up by you, not by a developer

  • Menu managementCategories, sub-categories and items with prices, tax rates, photos and active/inactive control โ€” all editable without calling support.
  • Dual-language menu (English + Urdu)Every item, category and deal carries both names, and you choose which language shows on the customer bill, on the kitchen ticket and on screen โ€” Urdu for the kitchen, English for the customer, if that suits your staff.
  • Modifiers and customisation"No onion", "Extra cheese", "Spice: Hot" โ€” attach single-choice or multi-choice options to any item, free or priced, and they print on the kitchen ticket exactly as the customer asked.
  • Combo & deal builderFixed items, customer-choice slots ("pick any 2 flavours"), bundle options ("2ร— Mushroom Burger"), extra charges for premium picks, optional paid add-ons, and Small/Medium/Large price tiers.
  • Deal selection at billingAdd a deal and a popup walks the cashier through each choice, so a deal is never rung up half-built or priced wrong.
๐Ÿ“ฆ

Inventory โ€” Both Kinds

Bottled drinks counted as pieces; biryani counted as rice, chicken and oil

  • Direct-sale stockBottled drinks, packaged snacks and anything bought and sold as-is: opening stock, purchases, sales, wastage, closing balance.
  • Recipe / BOM stockDefine what goes into one plate of biryani, and every biryani sold deducts the rice, chicken, oil and spices from raw-material stock โ€” this is where restaurant theft and wastage actually shows up.
  • Batch productionPrepare 20 plates in advance and sales deduct from that prepared stock instead of the recipe โ€” both ways of working are supported, per item.
  • Deal and modifier stock accuracyA deal deducts exactly what the customer picked โ€” choose Large and the Large recipe goes, choose Fajita and Fajita's ingredients go. Priced add-ons like extra cheese deduct real cheese.
  • Purchases & suppliersSupplier records and purchase invoices with cost prices, paid now or on credit, feeding stock and the supplier's running balance together.
  • Wastage & stock adjustmentsRecord spoilage and corrections properly so your stock figure stays believable.
  • Stock valuationEvery item valued at moving weighted-average cost, so your inventory value and cost of sales are real numbers, not guesses.
  • Reorder levels & low-stock dashboardSet a reorder level per item โ€” five kilos of flour and five bottles of cola aren't equally urgent โ€” and see everything running low on one screen.
๐Ÿ“’

Accounting & Financials

A real double-entry engine under the POS โ€” not an expense screen bolted on

  • Double-entry accounting backboneEvery sale, expense, purchase, salary and payment posts itself into proper accounts โ€” your books are always current, and no accountant re-types your POS figures.
  • Chart of AccountsPre-loaded with restaurant-relevant accounts (cash, banks, receivables, payables, tax payable, sales by order type, cost of goods sold, salaries, expense heads) and fully editable.
  • Payment accountsCash plus as many bank, Easypaisa, JazzCash or card accounts as you use โ€” every rupee lands in the right account's balance automatically.
  • Payment account required everywhereNo cash or bank movement can be saved anywhere in the system without naming the account it came from or went to, so the books always tie out.
  • Government levy on payment modeThe Pakistan POS withholding (16% cash / 8% online, and editable โ€” because government rates change) is calculated per payment method at settlement, shown as its own line, kept out of your reported income, and reportable for filing.
  • Service, delivery and extra chargesService charge, delivery charge and your own named charges (packing, cutlery), each flat or percentage, each per order type, each on its own line on the bill.
  • GST handlingTax per item, with an admin choice of whether GST applies before or after your charges โ€” and removing GST is a rights-controlled, logged action.
  • Expense booking & recurring expensesLog every expense with category, amount, paying account, a note and an optional receipt photo. Rent and fixed monthly bills post themselves on schedule โ€” never forgotten, never booked twice.
  • Customer, supplier & general ledgerRunning balances for credit customers and suppliers, plus every posting in the business filterable by account and date โ€” the audit trail behind every report.
  • Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Trial BalanceRevenue, cost of goods sold, gross profit, operating expenses, net profit โ€” for any date range, built from real postings. Full statements, so your accountant gets what they ask for instead of a pile of exports.
๐Ÿ‘ฅ

Staff & Payroll

One record per real person โ€” and their salary comes out of it

  • Employee recordsName, phone, CNIC, photo, staff type, joining date, salary type and rate โ€” one record per real person.
  • Waiters and riders from one staff listOnly active waiters appear on dine-in bills, only active riders on deliveries โ€” no separate lists to maintain, no wrong name on a bill.
  • Logins created from employeesEvery login traces back to a real employee, so an audit trail always names a person โ€” and staff who never touch the till are still tracked for payroll.
  • Attendance for daily-wage staffDay counts feed the wage calculation for the period before anything is paid.
  • PayrollMonthly salaries and daily wages calculated, paid from a named account, and posted straight to your accounts.
  • AdvancesAdvances given are tracked against future salary and automatically net off when salary is paid โ€” nothing is forgotten or paid twice.
  • Employee ledgerA running balance per staff member: advances given, salary paid, amount currently due.
๐Ÿ”’

Security, Rights & Fraud Control

Sixteen separately controlled actions, and a log nobody can edit

  • Role-based loginsAdmin, Manager, Cashier, Waiter, Kitchen Staff โ€” plus your own custom roles. Rights changes apply immediately, no restart.
  • 16 separately controlled sensitive actionsFlat discount, percentage discount, void item, void bill, remove GST, complimentary bill, complimentary item, editing each type of service/delivery/extra charge (flat and percentage separately), reassigning a rider, entering expenses and correcting ledger entries โ€” each granted or refused per role.
  • Per-user discount limitsGive a cashier a real ceiling โ€” "maximum 10%" or "maximum Rs. 500" โ€” and anything above it stops and requires a manager.
  • Manager OverrideWhen someone hits a limit, a manager approves with their own credentials on the spot; the bill is never blocked and the approval is recorded with both names.
  • Complete audit logEvery discount, void, free item, charge edit, GST removal, expense, ledger correction, rider change, price edit and closing is recorded โ€” who did it, who approved it, which bill, what changed, at which counter, at what time. It can be added to, never edited or deleted.
  • Discount / Void / Complimentary reportGiveaways grouped by person, by counter and by action type, with a drill-down to every individual event.
  • Login protectionPasswords and PINs are stored using modern one-way hashing โ€” nobody, including us, can read them โ€” and five wrong attempts lock that username for 15 minutes, on the counter, on the manager override prompt and in both browser apps alike.
  • Encrypted settingsSensitive stored settings are encrypted, and the system refuses to save a credential at all rather than store one in plain text.
๐Ÿ–ฅ๏ธ

Multi-Counter Operations

Two, three or five tills on one database โ€” safely

  • Multiple tills, one databaseSeveral counters bill at the same time against the same data โ€” same software, only settings differ.
  • Counter identityEach PC is asked once which counter it is, and remembers. Every bill, ticket and logged action is tagged with it.
  • Duplicate-counter lockTwo PCs can never operate as "Counter 2" at once โ€” the second is stopped with a clear message, which is what protects your invoice numbering and cash reconciliation. Admin can force-release a crashed till.
  • Per-counter shift closingCounter 1's drawer never mixes with Counter 2's. Each till closes and prints its own report, with a combined view for management.
  • Counted-till gateThe closing report can't be printed or shared until the cashier has entered the cash they actually counted โ€” no unverified closings.
  • Drawer expensesCash taken from the drawer during a shift is logged, subtracted from expected cash on the closing report, and booked as a real expense โ€” your accountant never has to enter it again.
  • Cash & bank reconciliationExpected versus actual cash, plus per-bank-account totals for the shift or the day.
๐Ÿ›ต

Delivery Operations

Riders, dispatch and delivery times for your own outlet

  • Rider assignmentAssign a rider at order time or when the food is ready, whichever suits how you run deliveries.
  • Dispatch tracking & boardPending โ†’ Assigned โ†’ Dispatched โ†’ Delivered, with Returned/Failed for the ones that don't land โ€” and every live delivery on one screen with its rider and how long it's been out.
  • Rider name on the slipThe delivery slip carries the rider and dispatch time โ€” the customer knows who's coming and you know who took it.
  • Rider performance reportDeliveries completed per rider, average delivery time and order counts over any date range.
๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‡ฐ

Business Rules Built for Pakistan

The details most systems quietly get wrong

  • Indent Hours (late-night business day)Set how many hours past midnight still belong to yesterday. A Friday shift running to 3 AM Saturday reports entirely as Friday โ€” the way you and your staff actually think about it. Sales, closing, P&L and ledgers all follow it.
  • Four invoice numbering schemesContinuous, daily reset with a date prefix, per-counter prefixes (C1-00045), or your own custom prefix. Numbers are guaranteed never to repeat, even with several counters billing in the same second.
  • Local time zone, correctly handledBusiness dates are computed on your own clock, not the computer's raw UTC time โ€” a detail that silently misfiles a night's sales in most systems.
๐Ÿ“Š

Owner Dashboard & Server Tools

Two browser apps served by your own PC โ€” nothing to install

Owner dashboard โ€” sales, orders, average bill, sales trend chart, order-type split, top items, top deals, discounts/voids/free bills, cash-versus-bank split, levy collected, per-counter comparison, live floor activity, low-stock alerts, a P&L snapshot, staff summary, and who owes you versus who you owe. One date control drives the whole page, and it is built to be read on a phone.

  • Read-only by designThe owner's dashboard has no billing, no voids, no edits โ€” you can look at everything and break nothing.
  • Server consoleA dedicated admin window showing database status, uptime, which counters are online, live kitchen printer status, the print job queue with retry, and the waiter app's link and QR code.
  • Waiter app QR codeStaff scan a code on the server screen to open the ordering app on their own phone โ€” no typing addresses, no setup per device.
  • Live waiter session countSee how many devices are punching orders right now and how many phone bills are waiting to be picked up at a counter.
  • Backup & restoreOne-click database backup, and restore when you need it, with a deliberately serious confirmation.
  • Reports that exportSales by day, order type, counter, waiter, item, category and deal; what actually left the kitchen; the giveaways report; rider performance; inventory and low stock; stock movement and valuation; expenses; the government levy report; customer and supplier outstanding; shift closing; and the three financial statements. On-screen reports export to CSV.

Screens from the running system

Not mockups โ€” these are live screens from BillBaaz, shown with demonstration data.

BillBaaz โ€” Tables & floors
BillBaaz table picker showing floors across the top and colour-coded tables marked Free, Running and Billed
Pick a table, start an order. Your real floors across the top โ€” Family Hall, Gents Hall, Mezzanine, Out Side โ€” with every table colour-coded Free, In use, Running or Billed, and the waiter's name on the running one.
BillBaaz โ€” Home delivery order
A BillBaaz delivery order with the customer, address, an assigned rider, delivery and packing charges, and a Dispatch and Print button
Delivery, with a rider attached. Customer, address and rider at the top; delivery charge, packing charge and GST each on their own line; and a Dispatch & Print button that puts the rider's name on the slip.
BillBaaz โ€” Menu in two languages
BillBaaz menu management with an English name and an Urdu name column side by side for every item and category
Every item, in both languages. An English name and an Urdu name on each item, category and deal โ€” so the kitchen ticket can print Urdu while the customer's bill prints English.
BillBaaz โ€” Modifiers
BillBaaz modifier groups such as Add-ons, Size and Spice Level with priced and free options in English and Urdu
"Extra cheese, no onion." Single-choice and multi-choice modifier groups, each option free or priced, each with its own Urdu name โ€” and each one deducting real stock when it's a paid add-on.
BillBaaz โ€” Roles & rights
BillBaaz permissions matrix with roles down the side and sensitive actions across the top, plus a login users table showing a cashier's discount ceiling
Sixteen actions, granted one by one. Flat discount, percentage discount, void item, void bill, remove GST, complimentary bill and item, every charge edit โ€” each a separate tick per role. Below, a cashier capped at 10% or Rs. 500.
BillBaaz โ€” Counters
BillBaaz counters screen showing this PC's counter identity, registered counters, and which counters are running right now with a heartbeat
Two PCs can never be Counter 2. Each till registers its identity once; the system shows which are online with a live heartbeat, and a crashed one can be force-released by an admin โ€” which is what keeps invoice numbers and cash reconciliation intact.
BillBaaz โ€” Business day & numbering
BillBaaz Indent Hours setting set to 4 hours after midnight with Asia/Karachi time zone, and invoice numbering scheme options below
Your business day, not the calendar's. Set Indent Hours to 4 and a bill at 3 AM belongs to the night before โ€” applied to sales, closing, ledgers and P&L alike. Below it, four invoice numbering schemes.
BillBaaz โ€” Payment accounts & levy
BillBaaz payment accounts listing Cash In Hand at 16% levy and JazzCash at 8% levy, each with its own balance
The levy, per payment method. 16% on cash, 8% on online โ€” editable, because government rates change. Each account maps to a real ledger account, and money can only ever move through one of them.
BillBaaz โ€” Trial Balance
BillBaaz Trial Balance report listing accounts with debit and credit columns and a balanced total at the bottom
Debits = credits, every time. A real Trial Balance built from real postings โ€” alongside Profit & Loss and a Balance Sheet. Nobody re-typed a single figure to produce this.
BillBaaz โ€” Owner dashboard
BillBaaz owner dashboard in a browser with total sales, orders, average order and GST collected cards, a sales trend chart and an order type donut
The whole restaurant, in a browser. Total sales, order count, average order and GST collected; a sales trend line and the dine-in / takeaway / delivery split. One date control drives every card on the page.
BillBaaz โ€” Profit & Loss snapshot
Owner dashboard cards showing how money arrived split cash versus bank, a Profit and Loss summary with net profit, and the top selling items
Net profit, on the same screen as your top sellers. Revenue, cost of goods sold, gross profit, operating expenses and net profit โ€” with the government levy shown separately, because it was never your income.
BillBaaz โ€” Discounts, voids & complimentary
Owner dashboard card listing bill discounts, item discounts, voided bills, voided items, complimentary bills and items with a total given away
"Given away" is a number now. Bill discounts, item discounts, voided bills, voided items, complimentary bills and complimentary items โ€” each with a count and a rupee figure, and a drill-down to who did it and where.
BillBaaz Server โ€” Waiter app QR
BillBaaz server console Order Taker tab showing the waiter app link, a QR code to scan, and a list of who is signed in
No tablets to buy. Waiters scan this QR once and the ordering app opens in their own phone's browser. The console shows who's signed in and how many phone orders are waiting to be settled at a counter.
BillBaaz Server โ€” Print queue
BillBaaz server print queue listing kitchen tickets, invoices and provisional slips with the counter, printer and status for each
A printer problem never stops a sale. Every ticket, invoice and provisional slip with its counter, its printer and its status. Failed jobs stay here with a Retry button instead of vanishing โ€” so a printer refilled in the morning doesn't reprint a whole night at once.
The Order Taker app

This is the app your waiters use โ€” on the phone already in their pocket

No tablets to buy, no app store, no per-device licence. They scan the QR code on the server screen once, and the ordering app opens in their own phone's browser.

BillBaaz Order Taker app on a phone showing open orders on the floor and a New order form asking which waiter the order is for
Everything still open on the floorRunning orders at the top, a new one underneath. Nothing gets lost between the floor and the till.
BillBaaz Order Taker app with a waiter chosen from a dropdown and a grid of every table in the restaurant, above a Start order button
Pick the waiter, pick the tableEvery table in the restaurant as a big tap target โ€” the same floors and names your counter uses.
BillBaaz Order Taker app cart with two Zinger Burgers carrying an Extra Cheese modifier, a deal broken into its child items, and a Send 2 to kitchen button
Modifiers and deals, from the table"Extra Cheese +Rs. 50" sits under the item, a deal shows its child items, and already-sent lines are marked "with the kitchen" โ€” so Send 2 to kitchen sends only the new ones.
What a waiter deliberately cannot do

There is no settle, void, discount or complimentary function anywhere in this app โ€” those screens do not exist in it at all, so no permission mistake can ever expose one. The waiter builds the order and sends it to the kitchen; a cashier at a counter settles it.

Key benefits

What actually changes in your restaurant

Not a feature list โ€” the things that make the difference on a Friday night.

  • Keeps billing when the internet doesn't. Everything runs on your own computers on your own network. No monthly outage, no "system down" during a full house.
  • Stops the leaks you can't see. Recipe-level deduction shows what your kitchen actually consumed, and the giveaways report shows exactly which staff member is giving away how much.
  • Your books close themselves. Sales, expenses, purchases, salaries and payments post to real accounts as they happen โ€” P&L, Balance Sheet and ledgers ready whenever you ask, with nothing re-entered.
  • Cash is accounted for, drawer by drawer. Per-counter closing, a mandatory counted-till entry, and logged drawer expenses mean every shift reconciles against a real number.
  • No more kitchen mistakes from handwritten chits. Tickets print at the right station automatically, additions are marked as additions, and cancellations reach the kitchen before the food is made.
  • Waiters take orders at the table. Any phone with a browser becomes an ordering terminal โ€” no tablets to buy, no app store, no per-device licence.
  • Paid any way the customer wants. Cash, bank, wallet, split across several, or on account โ€” and the government levy is worked out correctly for each portion.
  • Grows from one till to five without changing software. Same product, same price list, different settings.
  • Works the way Pakistani restaurants work. Late-night business day, Urdu on screen and on tickets, the POS withholding levy, and invoice numbering that matches local paperwork.
Why BillBaaz

What separates it from a typical basic restaurant POS

1

Real recipe-based inventory

Most low-cost systems deduct "1 biryani". BillBaaz deducts the rice, chicken, oil and spices โ€” and supports pre-prepared batch stock as an alternative, per item.

2

A genuine double-entry engine

Not "expense entry" bolted on. A real chart of accounts, ledgers, and reconciling Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet and Trial Balance. Most POS products stop at a sales report.

3

Deals built for how deals sell

Choice slots, bundle options, premium-choice upcharges, optional paid add-ons and size tiers โ€” and stock deducts against exactly what the customer picked, at the right size.

4

Fraud control as a designed feature

Sixteen individually controlled actions, a numeric discount ceiling per cashier, manager override with the approver recorded, an append-only log, and a giveaways report by staff member and counter.

5

Security enforced where it counts

Rights are re-checked at the moment of saving, not merely hidden on screen โ€” and the waiter app has no settle, void or discount function in it at all, so no permission mistake can expose one.

6

The Pakistani business day

Configurable Indent Hours, so a shift running to 3 AM reports as the previous day โ€” applied consistently across sales, closings, ledgers and P&L. Very few systems get this right.

7

The POS withholding levy, properly

Configurable per payment account, calculated per portion of a split payment, shown as its own line, posted to its own liability account so your reported income isn't inflated, and reportable for filing.

8

Centralised kitchen printing

Kitchen printers are configured once on the server, not on every till โ€” so adding a counter doesn't mean setting up printers again. And a print failure never blocks a sale.

9

Multi-counter safety that's enforced

Duplicate-till lock, per-counter invoice sequences and separate drawer reconciliation โ€” tested against two counters billing in the same instant.

10

Genuine dual-language operation

Urdu and English names on every item, with independent choices for the customer bill, the kitchen ticket and the screen. Urdu tickets for kitchen staff, English bills for customers.

11

Waiter ordering at zero hardware cost

Staff use their own phones over your WiFi. No tablets, no per-device fee, no installation โ€” they scan a QR code once.

12

Tested like software that handles money

Over 2,190 automated tests, all passing โ€” including concurrency between two counters billing in the same instant, and the security rules themselves.

Who it's for

Best fit

๐Ÿฝ๏ธ Dine-in restaurants

Table service with waiters, floors, a visual floor plan and per-waiter sales.

๐Ÿ” Fast food & takeaway

Burgers, pizza, broast, shawarma โ€” fast walk-in billing and held orders.

โ˜• Cafรฉs & dessert shops

Tea houses and dessert counters with modifiers and quick settlement.

๐Ÿ”ฅ BBQ & karahi restaurants

Running late into the night โ€” where Indent Hours earns its keep.

๐Ÿ• Deal-heavy outlets

Pizza and burger shops that sell mostly through combos with customer choice.

๐Ÿ›ต Home-delivery kitchens

Cloud kitchens with their own riders, dispatch tracking and delivery times.

๐Ÿ–ฅ๏ธ Multi-counter outlets

Two or more billing counters, or a separate takeaway till, on one database.

๐Ÿงฎ Cost-control kitchens

Recipe-based kitchens where ingredient consumption is the main cost.

Particularly strong when

You sell a lot of deals with customer choice ยท you want to know your food cost rather than estimate it ยท you suspect discounts, voids or free bills are being misused ยท your accountant currently re-enters POS figures by hand ยท you stay open past midnight and your reporting day isn't a calendar day ยท or you simply want a system that keeps working with no internet.

User roles

Built for everyone in your restaurant

These are the defaults โ€” every role's rights can be tightened or widened per restaurant.

RoleWhat they do in BillBaaz
Admin / OwnerFull access. Sets up menu, deals, staff, printers, rights and discount limits; runs accounting, payroll and every report; uses the owner dashboard and the server console; approves overrides.
ManagerRuns the floor and the till. Bills, approves cashiers' overrides, handles discounts and voids within their own rights, closes shifts, works the dispatch board.
CashierBills orders, prints kitchen tickets and provisional slips, settles payments including splits, counts and closes their own drawer. Discounts and voids only within the limits set for them.
WaiterTakes orders at the table from a phone browser, sends them to the kitchen, and hands them to a counter to settle. Cannot settle bills, void, discount or make anything complimentary โ€” those screens don't exist in the waiter app at all, so there is nothing to get around.
RiderA staff record rather than a login: assigned to deliveries, tracked through dispatch, measured by the rider performance report, and paid through payroll.
Kitchen StaffTracked as staff for payroll and attendance; the kitchen works from printed tickets rather than a screen.
Custom rolesCreate your own โ€” "Senior Cashier", "Supervisor" โ€” and grant exactly the rights you want, with changes applying immediately and no restart.
Under the hood

Technical highlights

On-premise, offline-first

Runs on your own PCs with a local database. No cloud dependency and no internet needed for billing, printing, stock or reports. Delivered as a normal installable Windows folder โ€” no Python to install, no technical setup, no browser required at the counter.

Two browser apps, no installation

The waiter ordering app and the owner dashboard are served by your own server PC over your WiFi. Any phone, tablet or laptop with a browser can use them. The waiter app is built for phone screens; the dashboard is mobile-responsive with charts that work offline, because the charting library ships with the product.

Multi-counter on one database

Several terminals share one database with counter identity, duplicate-till locking and per-counter reporting โ€” tested against two counters billing in the same instant.

Thermal printer support

USB, network IP and Bluetooth over standard ESC/POS, including centralised kitchen printing (installed once on the server, not on every till) and local receipt printing per counter. Windows-installed printers are supported by name.

Urdu printing, solved

Urdu is rendered to an image and printed, because thermal printers cannot render Urdu natively. On-screen Urdu is native right-to-left with a proper Nastaliq font.

Accounting built correctly

A real double-entry engine with all money held to exact decimal precision โ€” never floating-point โ€” and financial records append-only. Corrections are made by reversing entries, so history can't be quietly rewritten.

Security

Argon2 password and PIN hashing; a shared 5-attempt / 15-minute lockout across the counter, override prompts and both web apps; signed HTTP-only session cookies with CSRF protection; encrypted sensitive settings; and rights re-checked at the point of saving, not just hidden buttons.

Technology stack & testing

Python with a PyQt6 desktop UI, PostgreSQL, FastAPI for the web apps and ESC/POS printing. Over 2,190 automated tests, all passing โ€” covering business rules, accounting postings, printing, concurrency between counters, security rules, and every screen at both small POS-screen and large-monitor resolutions.

Not included โ€” so nobody is promised it

Payment-gateway or card-machine integration ยท WhatsApp or SMS sending ยท an online food-ordering website ยท third-party aggregator (Foodpanda etc.) integration ยท biometric attendance devices ยท and cloud or multi-branch head-office consolidation. If you need online ordering or several branches, MyPOS is the product for you.

FAQ

Restaurant owners ask us this

Does BillBaaz work without internet?

Yes. BillBaaz runs on your own computers with the database on your own PC, so billing, kitchen printing, stock deduction and reports all keep working with no internet at all. You only need internet if you want to check the owner dashboard from outside the restaurant, which is set up separately and never affects billing.

Can waiters take orders on their mobile phones?

Yes. Waiters open the ordering app in any phone or tablet browser on your restaurant's WiFi โ€” nothing to install and no tablets to buy. They scan a QR code once to get started. The kitchen ticket prints immediately, and the order appears on every counter's pending list for a cashier to settle. Waiters cannot settle bills, void items or give discounts from their phone, by design.

Does it track ingredients, or only finished items?

Both. Items you buy and sell as-is (drinks, packaged snacks) are tracked directly. For cooked items you define a recipe, and every sale automatically deducts the raw ingredients โ€” flour, chicken, oil, spices. You can also prepare batches in advance and sell from that prepared stock instead.

Can I use it on more than one billing counter?

Yes. Several counters can bill at the same time against one database. Each counter is identified, every bill is tagged to it, invoice numbers never collide, and each till closes its own cash drawer separately โ€” with a combined view for management. It's the same software as a single-PC setup; only the settings differ.

Will it print Urdu on kitchen tickets?

Yes. Every menu item can carry both an English and an Urdu name, and you choose which language appears on the customer invoice, on the kitchen ticket and on screen โ€” so your kitchen staff read tickets in Urdu while customers get English bills. Urdu prints correctly on ordinary thermal printers.

How does it stop staff from misusing discounts and free bills?

Sixteen sensitive actions โ€” discounts, voids, free items, charge edits, tax removal and more โ€” are controlled per role, and each cashier can be given a numeric discount ceiling like "maximum 10%" or "maximum Rs. 500". Anything beyond it needs a manager to approve with their own login, and both names are recorded. Every giveaway is written to a permanent log, and one report shows exactly who gave away how much, at which counter.

Do I still need an accountant to prepare accounts?

You'll still want one for filing and advice, but they won't need to re-enter your POS data. Every sale, expense, purchase, salary and payment posts into a proper double-entry accounting system as it happens, so Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Trial Balance and customer, supplier and staff ledgers are ready at any moment.

We stay open past midnight โ€” will our sales be split across two dates?

No, if you don't want them to be. Set "Indent Hours" to the number of hours after midnight that still count as the same business day, and a Friday shift running to 3 AM Saturday reports entirely as Friday โ€” in sales, closing, ledgers and Profit & Loss alike.

What's the difference between BillBaaz and MyPOS?

BillBaaz is entirely on your own machines with no cloud, for one outlet with as many counters as you like, and it includes real double-entry accounting, payroll and the Pakistan POS levy. MyPOS is cloud-synced for several branches, and adds online ordering with your own QR menu, a central warehouse and a call-centre branch. Neither is a cut-down version of the other โ€” see the full comparison above.

Being straight with you โ€” what isn't finished yet

None of these stops day-to-day operation; each has a working manual path. Sharing the closing report by email or WhatsApp (closing reports print today) ยท purchase orders (purchases are entered as invoices directly) ยท purchase returns (corrections post as adjusting entries) ยท zone-based delivery charges (delivery charge is flat or percentage, editable per bill) ยท timed automatic retry of failed print jobs (failed tickets are visible and retried with a button โ€” deliberately, so a printer refilled in the morning doesn't reprint a whole night at once) ยท scheduled automatic backups (backup and restore work on demand) ยท PDF and scheduled-email report exports (reports export to CSV today) ยท one-click expense reversal and reversing a void or complimentary (both done through the accounting screen today) ยท cancelling part of a quantity already sent to the kitchen (whole-line voids work fully) ยท PIN-only login (quick login needs username plus PIN) ยท recipes that use other in-house recipes (an in-house sauce is set up as a raw material) ยท bulk editing of reorder levels ยท and in-place editing of deal slots (add and remove work). We'd rather tell you now than after you've bought.

Two deployment facts worth stating plainly

The local network runs on plain HTTP โ€” this is a closed restaurant network by design, and neither service should ever be exposed directly to the internet. Remote access from outside the restaurant (checking the dashboard from home) needs a VPN or secure tunnel set up separately; the dashboard documents both approaches but does not configure them, and core billing never depends on it.
